Leo Chavez MPT, ATC Leo Chavez MPT, ATC

President / Physical Therapist

Leo is the President and Founder of BioSport Physical Therapy. Mr. Chavez received his Master's degree in Physical Therapy (MPT) and his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology at California State University, Fresno. To better understand orthopedic injuries, he completed a four-year internship program in athletic training (ATC) at Fresno State where he had the privilege of working with division-I student athletes, professionals, Olympians and coaches such as Michael Jordan, Trent Dilfer, Michael Pitmann, Jeff Weaver, David Carr, Billy Volic, Amanda Scott, Laura Berg , Pat Hill and Jerry Tarkanian to mention a few.

Through continuous education, Leo strives to stay on top of the most innovative and progressive techniques in therapy. In 2004, Mr. Chavez completed the highly esteemed Folsom Long-Term Advanced Manual Orthopedics Course, which specializes in Nordic manual therapy. Currently, he is completing course work with the Ola Grimsby Institute in San Diego, and The Spinal Manipulation Institute with Dr. James Dunning which is a branch of the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy.

Leo stresses education and communication in helping people to better manage their symptoms. His rehabilitation approach combines manual medicine, movement analysis, proper body mechanics, joint, neural, and soft tissue mobilization, ergonomics, PNF, myofascial release and specific training regimes to help patients reach their maximum potential. In addition to rehabilitation of the extremities, Mr. Chavez also has a specialty in treating spinal (cervical/thoracic/lumbar/sacroiliac) dysfunctions. Mr. Chavez uses his extensive experience in a variety of rehabilitation settings - including sports and occupational medicine, rehabilitation hospitals, skill nursing facilities, inpatient and outpatient hospitals to provide an all-around and dynamic treatment program.

Currently, Mr. Chavez is involved with a local community program, Stanislaus Health Foundation. In addition, Mr. Chavez lectures on issues related to Physical Therapy. In addition, Leo is only one of a few Spanish-speaking physical therapists in the Central Valley.


Jason Antonio, DPT Jason Antonio, DPT

Physical Therapist

Jason is a Physical Therapist at BioSport Physical Therapy. Dr. Antonio received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences and his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology at California State University, Sacramento.

While at the University of St. Augustine, Jason under took extended training to receive his Manual Therapy Certification (MTC). The advanced courses focused on spinal and extremity treatments taught by Dr. Paris and Dr. Patla who are experts in their specialties.

Jason is currently taking a course in Pediatrics from the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) to broaden his scope of therapy.


Justin Lindo, MPT Justin Lindo, MPT

Physical Therapist

Justin graduated Summa Cum Laude with both degrees from California State University Fresno; a Bachelor's degree in Health and Rehab Science in 2007 and a Master's degree in Physical Therapy in May of 2009. His clinical experience has been focused on treatment of orthopedic dysfunction and has entailed advanced formal training in functional and orthopedic manual therapy.

Justin's experience includes extensive training in the areas of Pelvic and Lumbar dysfunctions, myofascial dysfunctions, rehab related to knee and shoulder injury, balance and vestibular dysfunction and retraining. His primary emphasis is on proper muscle re-education and training through an individualized exercise program as well as one-on-one hands-on treatment while stressing the importance of patient education. Justin is currently working on becoming a Certified Functional Manual Therapist through the Institute of Physical Art and is certified in the Kinesiotaping Method.

In his free time, Justin enjoys many outdoor activities such as camping, baseball, snowboarding and spending time with his wife and three children. He also volunteers for the athletics department at California State University Stanislaus as a team Physical Therapist for men's and women's soccer, basketball, baseball and softball as well as coaching for Little League Baseball.

Antonia Stavrianoudakis Antonia Stavrianoudakis ATC

Certified Athletic Trainer

Antonia is a certified athletic trainer at BioSport Physical Therapy. She is responsible for developing exercise programs and assisting the therapist with patient care.

In May 2010 Antonia graduated from University Of The Pacific with a Bachelor's of Science in Sport Medicine. Antonia strove for, and achieved, scholastic excellence during her undergraduate years with UOP, while balancing academics, internships and employment.

As a student, Ms. Stavrianoudakis worked in the Student Fitness center where she provided fitness programs for fellow students and supervised the fitness floor. Antonia is no stranger to top quality care. She had the responsibility of providing care for UOP's athletes. Duties included tapping, assessing, and rehabilitating division one athletes. She also gained great knowledge while working with the Stockton Thunder Professional Hockey team.

Currently Ms. Stavrianoudakis is completing her prerequisites in order to apply to physical therapy school. Upon completion, Antonia would like to specialize in therapy for adolescents, which she will do well in due to her gentle, caring bedside manner. In addition, Antonia is fluent in Spanish, which allows her the ability to help a broader spectrum of injured patients.


Erica Caserez Erica Caserez

Office Manager / Physical Therapy Aide

Erica has been employed with BioSport Physical Therapy since its infancy in 2004. She has evolved with the demands of a growing business and has seen many promotions. She initially came on board as a physical therapist aide and with her strong work ethic and loyalty; she has inherited the title of office manager. She has developed extensive knowledge in medical billing and will gladly assist you in this area. She also handles our staff scheduling, making her a vital part of our team.

Erica has worked since 2002 in the physical therapy profession. She received her certificate from Maric College in 2002 as a PT Aide. She brings her experience to both the back office, assisting in direct patient care and the front office as a Office manager. She will gladly schedule appointments and answer your questions. Being fluent in Spanish, she is able to assist patients in translation to ensure all aspects of their care are addressed. Erica also is the primary liaison with our medical supply companies providing durable medical equipment for our patients.


Rachel Hutton Rachel Hutton

Billing / Office Assistant

Rachel is our front office assistant who specializes in billing. She is full of energy and greets the patients with a wonderful smile.

As BioSport Physical Therapy has grown, it was important we designated one individual to manage all of our medical billing for which Rachel has been a great fit. She brings over three years of experience, which she obtained while billing for several medical facilities in town.
